Vienna - Patras (Autumn 2005)

After a good yourney from Austria to Italy, beginnig at 7:20 ó clock in Vienna we come at 5 p.m. in Venici to the harbor.

We are wondering about the unflexibility of the personals in the Imbiss from the patrol station Wörthersee: There is Gulasch and Frankfurter at the menu. But Wuerstel with juice are not to make.

It is best Bikerwether and there are no stations because accidents ore traffic jam. This time we don´t go wrong, we find a better way to the harbor: You drive patiently on the town highway of Venice (from Udine or Trieste coming), up to exit SS11. Then a little bit bewilderingly it is that the street is called even with SR11, but this may not disturb to the ferries looking tourist further.

In Venice the Handyfonierer on the ferry still have receipt. Outdoors by the sea there is no connection what allows to have a telefon call. We wait. While the next day before Albania the first ringing tones whirr through the space and the reassuring SMS arrives that one is again in the net, we trouble about 17:30 o'clock the festival net phone located on board, you can buy a card (6 euros) in the board shop for it. For reasonable 1 - 2 euros we can report our all those at home in detail about our nice journey to Venice and the ferry journey.

New at Anek-Line: If the ship is in the greek sea there are no cigarettes to buy. It means to buy before a great stock for the night if you go to Patras.

At Lefka Ori from Anek Line it seems to be the same as in spring: Ca. 200 Slowenien at Bus-Gruoptour to Kreta. 12 days Party + Alkohol, without any consideration for other people, they as "Truck-Driver" not drive for a trip, or biker, which will beginn theyr "hot Tour".



First night we sleep good in the way before the restaurant as a substitute with a place in the outside deck that is "taken" by the celebrating Slovenes. At the second night this little place is also covered by the "making music" friends of highly concentrated drinks directly from the bottle. Already addressing from situation we inquire with a steward after a quiet sleeping possibility which he gets us immediately in the lower interdeck. So we come more or less rested and quite on time about 7 o'clock Early shortly before sunrise to Patras from the ferry belly.
