Little Tour to Nature reserve

From Parga we drive through Anthousia in direktion Perdika. The street is - how the whole distance - bendy and rockfall-endangers.

We want to the nature reserve. Ca. 5 kms before Perdika there stands on the right in the street edge a big sign on which below, quite small, "rest park" stands . There we must turn on the left about a sharp, curve hanging a little bit outwardly. The single-track, tolerably concreted way writhes by the scenery. On the left a white church appears after some time, on the right meadows grit place which are called with "Parking". Because the entrance lies to the nature reserve further behind in the olive grove, we overlook him and go on. The street becomes narrower. Our fear that it ends as a sandy way is groundless. So we drive ourselves time-long desultorily and aimlessly by the wonderful and diverse scenery, until in none of our maps marked street ends before the hotel Regina Mare where we turn about and decide to drive back the same way .

Somewhere we do a cigarette break in the street edge beside a shady hedge. Compared with a man strokes the garden gate of his new company house. He explains to us into best German that the entrance was to the nature reserve with the white Kriche. In the area there are many new villas which wait for vacationer. In aboluter wilderness, no town, no Internet, no bars, no Minimarket - rest purely with card game or craps .

Then really we discover the entrance to the nature reserve near the white church. However, it is closed against the written up opening times. Never mind. Later we find out about the prefecture from Perdika that there is opened in the periods poor in tourist only of Sunday from 8:30 - 14 o'clock. - Thus before call and inquire, if you have before to visit the park. We drive in direction of Perdika, nevertheless, leave the place on the right, bend direction Sivota on the left. Actually, we wanted to do in Sivota lunchbreak, however, here the main street is anew tarred with enorm expenditure. The intensive smell, the billows of smoke and the dust let us not turn on the left to the sea, but immediately right further up direction Igoumenitsa go on.


On the way we meet a pretty queue on the roadway, approx. 50 cms long which does not get, nevertheless to reach intact the opposite roadway edge. We have belonged that one can chase away queues by blockheads. Than I try to move them with it, however, the pretty animal is absolutely unimpressed of it. It wants to enjoy rather at unfavorable place the warmth of the roadway from below and the sun from above. A passenger car goes here about the tail (provided that one can speak with a queue of a tail) what does not kill the animal, indeed, but incredibly interferes in the motor activity.

Because we can further do nothing for them, we go on, until we come to E55 which leads from Igoumenitsa to Preveza. Here we turn on the right, one more Fanta lemon + grant to us in a bar with a gas station café Frappé (together 2.50 euros) to go then back to Parga.

In spite of proceed a nice, small 85-km tour, from Parga to Plataria over bendy regional very nice streets with which offers to turn in Plataria to enjoy her bends in the other direction back .
