From big harbor we drive straight between the docks and the signs"Athen". Soon we are on the highway. At her beginning there is no gasoline station. The next is in 100 km, directly between the street and a big McDonalds.
Instead
the highway you can also use the old road - if you have much time. She is curvy
between the sea and in lovely villages.If you likes to drive to Nafplio or Tolo and enjoy scenerie and curves, you have to take not the way to Nafplio - there the way is only highway and later in the heat - take the second to Epidaurus. You can drive on a good street, only some meters not so wide. Much more curves as you see in map she is winding through the hills.
In
contrast to other greek streets, here are petrol stations and taverns to take
a rest. At Mt. Agnountos a big parking place is inviting you to take a rest and
to look around.The way to Nafplio is very bad to see.
It is curvy near Epidaurus vorbei. It is nice in greece with "Epidaurus": 5 are here - on our map from Road Edition.
You come near to westcoast from the east finger and the traffic is becoming little. You always have to be prepared to find a little curve - bridge - little curve or some gooses on the street.
With this way, not too dificult and very nice, you avoid to drive through Nafplio with its crazy traffic. You have to go left at a big crossing to Tolo, which you reach after ca. 7 km.
