PARGA (10. - 16. 6. 2004)

PargaWe know Parga from our former journeys. We put this place with pleasure as a final point of our journey in order to take a rest after the tiring kilometers over cumbersome Greek streets in strange heat.

Parga changed strongly. The city gets a new sewer system, streets were torn up and they were covered up only with provisionally concrete.

At the port promenade the executive controls the prohibition of stopping with eagle eye. Scooters are also punished like suppliers who do not keep to the allowed driving times. The promenade is supposed to be free for foot walkers and rescue operation vehicles.

Everywhere people build, paint, embellish and improve. Unlike other cities which we found almost tourist-freely in the preseason, Parga is busy. All restaurants and shops are opened and offer their products and services.

The Terra-Bar strikes us positively this time. Up to now we had often bad connections in the Internet-Cafes. In the bar Terra we enjoy the fast connection to our mailboxes and preferred web sites.

In "Yannis Tabepna" everything is all right. As every year we try all the things the menu offers and discover again new things that we did not try before! ... And the singer ring Voecklamarkt...

Suddenly Emiliano stands before us! The joy is great, to see him. He tells to us, that herealized his dream and is just in this case, to open up the Casa Verde, a small restaurant in which he presents his own creations.
