
Beside promenade
and old town, there are many restaurants and tavernas with excellent cooks. There
you find the real Greek rustic cuisine. Some years ago, they were the refuge of
the locals. Today you find the menu in different languages.
In Souliotis cuisine, the restaurant on the forest-road beneath Parga-Camping,
some years ago grandma and grandpa were cooking. Tsatziki there is the best in
Greek (if you like garlic) and yoghurt with honey we didn't want to miss any more
as dessert. The choice food is very wide - even the "Wiener Schnitzel"
you find in the menu. A miracle? No, the daughter in law of the senior-chief is
from Linz/Austria and she is leading "Kryoneri
Travel" together with the son.
If you have a special wish to eat
and you don't find it in the menu, you can ask Yannis. He is prepared to supply
the ingredients and to prepare the meal.

2002
Yannis take over the headship of the restaurant. Grandpa Pappas should enjoy his
retirement. In the meantime he does. But grandma likes it to help from time to
time.
In 2003, Yannis enlarged the palette of foods with some traditional Greek titbits,
you don't find in any other restaurant in Parga. His ideas are good: After 9 p.m.
it becomes difficulter and difficulter to get a place in his restaurant. Even
it looks full, don't leave! Yannis always has hidden some tables in reserve!

At
a late hour it can happen that Yannis starts to dance and, happy that his guests
do the same, he smashes some plates on the floor.
The taverna of Yannis is the best example that food must not be expensive in Greek.
A complete meal with starter and dessert and some drinks we seldom payed more
than 20,- Euro. We always go to Yannis if we are in Parga. Why should we look
for something else, if we have ound something special?
