With
best condition we begin our next base. Our groungman from Camping
Methoni tried to reach Camping Platanitis near Nafpaktos, but
he only heared: "Kein Anschluss unter dieser Nummer".
That means we have to look for another place near Patra.First our map tells us about some curves, but then it will be always straight. So we think for some turns, but not with with the problems from the town "Hora" (north from Pylos), with would be better named with "Horror". With oneway and twowaysystems and "Karpenissi"-Tables you will drive through, where are till 30% rise and fall slippery as ice! A hard special test for our loaded bikes, after this we make a short rest in the next village.
After Gargaliani it is without curves and so we can test our gas-seized if it is in funktion. After this curvy streets in the last days it is good to see for the bike is possible to run faster as only 80 km/h!
In
some villages the street is not as in map a straight street, no,
it is about little streets. When we reach the highway again it
is possible to drive faster again. The typic greec disadvantage:
No raststations and no little taverns between the street. Only
at petrolstations with the label "Mini Market" you can
take drinks for bike and driver.It is early after high noon as we think we will look for a campgrond because we don´t like to drive with ferryboat and the 100 km to the next place we know.
And we see in Kato Achaia tables, and they show us the way to a place. The surprise is big - but not long. First we drive to a undefinied betonhill, after this to a parcingplace. We look around. No rezeption, no reception, nothing that helps us.
May be there is a place, but the corner ther was not good for us. Laud music, not our taste, from a near bar. Nothing looking like livelines!
