The short way to Patra we take the old highway. Soft through the landscape the street is bringing us to Patra, where wo follow the brown board to "By-Pass Patra", but we look for the blue "Ferry-Boat"-board, witch are not here. We crossed the town, come to the street to athen (it was no mistace), drive the first exit, signed with "Rio" and look - WOW! - for some seconds the phantastic view over the new bridgepier and the old ferryharbor.
Then
it is time to find the right ferryboat betwenn the ferryboats.
Bevore one of them some cars arrange. This it should be! Wa like
to drive on bord. But again - motorcycles at last! There are many
free places, we have to wait a long time, till the greek instruktor
tells us to go in.Rudi likes to turn his Pan on the ramp, and the instruktor don´t likes this. The two began to dispute.
Rudi has his will, pole position to go out.
Tjaky don´t likes to dispute, and perks like the instruktor will.
As
the ramp on the other side is opening, Rudi drives out as first.
Tjaky has now to change her direktion.What a surprise! The instruktorpersonal spread the deck for all others. Sometimes the things are very easy in greece ... Sometimes!
About 11 a.m. we begin, as in our journy 2002 we takes the street Andirio - Amfilochia and Preveza to Parga under our wheels . In Amfilochia we take a rest as bevore. The curves between Amfilochia and Preveza we join without rain, dogs and turtles.
To
grt to Aktio (tunel) this time we have not to drive through Preveza.
The big street (E 55) is opened.It is whit suntide and many greek are in holiday. On the streets we see more police than ever.
Without any events we go to Parga-Caming, where we built our tent and like to spend the holidays without any kilometers.
Because of whitsuntide and the most police we know now the live in Parga better. The first time we get a foretaste to mainseason. Even in the day there is a press. In the evening the restaurants and taverns are full. We are happy, on whit monday it is better.
