In Githio the harbour is dominating, fisherboats and fisherman on it, repairing their nets. In front of the restaurants and taverns are hanging cuttlefishes. The picture is like the one in a travelguide.

During the one hotel is renovated, the other one is decaying between with the label "For sale". In this town we are missing the menuecards in front of them like usual in other towns. Some restaurants look rather good, but there is no one we really like to go in.

In the old city you can buy something "antik" touristik things. A little bit better than otherwhere.

From harbor promenade with her classic-greek houses you see to the island Marathónisi, where the Mani-museum is stationed.

In Githio you will find no beach. Because of this, all campingplaces are a view kilometers outside.

The internetcafe opposite the church is closed, but there is another. The PCs are in the first floor. If you like something to drink, you can take it with you or go for it. If you are sitting in the first floor no one will come and ask you.
With 4,- Euro per hour the price is in section.

Because we find Githio not so interesting as other towns, we are on campingground if we are not on tour. We have the idea to clean the motorcycles and to polish it. We buy some chromepolish for 3,50 Euro. We are happy, because it is very cheap for the size!
Then we are sitting between our motorcycles and are cleaning till all is shinig. May be other campers may shake theyr heads. But it is very good to relax, may be meditation!
